Criteo, the global leader in performance display advertising, today announced a strategic partnership with Yahoo! JAPAN’s online media sites. The business partnership will drive growth and opportunity for advertisers in the region, offering a powerful combination of premium inventory on Japan’s most visited internet sites and Criteo’s cost-per-click performance display solutions.
The deal marks the first time in Yahoo! JAPAN’s 16 year history that it has allowed a third party technology to monetize its personalized display advertising inventory. As the exclusive provider of personalized display advertising on Yahoo! JAPAN, Criteo will allow advertisers to reach consumers with relevant advertising on a cost-per-click (CPC) basis rather than cost-per-impression (CPM).
Through the partnership, advertisers will be able to harness Criteo’s personalized advertisement technology to access billions of impressions per month across Japan’s leading news, entertainment and sports information sites; Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Sports, Yahoo! Finance and Yahoo! Knowledge Search.
“This deal marks a significant milestone for Criteo as we become a major global player in advertising technology. Now with access to the largest source of premium inventory in Japan, Criteo’s solution is even more compelling for advertisers. By delivering all the benefits of search marketing to display advertising, we significantly increase consumer response, and ROI,” says Jean-Baptiste Rudelle, CEO and Co-Founder at Criteo.
